Each photoshoot for me is a creative experiment with elements of a little planning. It all starts with... and divarication is possible: a person or an idea. And then the process unfolds according to the choice of one of the paths.

This time, the first option “worked”. We started discussing the location, the look, the mood — everything that is usually worked out before the meeting. We exchanged references, prepared props, and came up with interesting storylines. At some point, it suddenly occurred to me that for my heroine, the location is secondary. It will be a personal story about a state, not an action.

Anya is a pianist, someone who deeply feels life. But we didn't set out to reflect her professional side. Interestingly, Anya had no experience with photoshoots at that time. I wonder why many people think it's necessary? Is the stereotype of “proper posing” really that strong? I have always believed and told my characters that they just need to be themselves, and for that, it's important to engage in their favorite activities. Yes, exactly during the photoshoot.

“Ok, so I will dance,” said Anya.
